These shirts were made by printing the same design on two shirts each, and then sewing them together. I used a blue shirt in the areas of water, and an orange/pink shirt for the lilies and koi fish. Each shirt back took a total of 4 prints, as I printed the designs on the shirts separately before sewing them together. I did this in an attempt to reduce the chances of misalignment on my sewing, and because I was worried the seams in the shirts may of made it more difficult to print, being bulky and in the way of a clean pull.
I am undecided on if the area behind the koi fish on the front should be blue shirt or not…
By using halftones, printed in yellow, in the areas of the lily center and lily pads, I was able to get a total of four colors with only two inks and two bases. This print used 25LPI in the areas of halftone
These back designs are 12″x16″ and the front is 9.8″x3.3″
